Aunque hoy en d\u00eda est\u00e1n parcialmente obsoletos, todav\u00eda se utilizan ampliamente en muchas aplicaciones de diagn\u00f3stico y servicio debido a la gran cantidad de veh\u00edculos antiguos que siguen en funcionamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>C\u00f3mo funcionan J1708 y J1587<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\" translation-block\"><strong>J1708<\/strong> define la <em>capa de comunicaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica<\/em>, es decir, la forma en que los datos se transmiten entre las ECU (Electronic Control Units) del veh\u00edculo.
