Embora atualmente estejam parcialmente desatualizados, continuam a ser amplamente utilizados em muitas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es de diagn\u00f3stico e assist\u00eancia devido ao grande n\u00famero de ve\u00edculos mais antigos ainda em opera\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Como funcionam o J1708 e o J1587<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\" translation-block\"><strong>J1708<\/strong> define a <em>camada f\u00edsica de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o<\/em> \u2014 ou seja, a forma como os dados s\u00e3o transmitidos entre as ECU (Electronic Control Units) do ve\u00edculo.
